<sup>I felt happy that Blue had stepped behind me. It acctually made me feel bigger. I puffed up my body, now seeming more like a orange ball of fur. I pinned my ears back and stepped foreward, making sure my teeth were bared and my tail was up, a perfect dominant position. For a moment I forgot that I was only a few inches of the ground.

A tall, sleek, orange dog with white paws and the most serene face stepped lightly from the bushes, it's tail and head down. I heard a snicker escape its lips. A female. She looked down at me, expecting something. A simple fraze made me cringe, then lunge towards her.
'Aw, the wittle dog protecting his girlfriends? Aren't you cuuute!'</sup>

I would have been perfectly willing to like this dog. Except she was clearly hostile. What with the comment she said and all. It made the fur along the back of my neck rise. I watched as Bear sprang forward.

I couldn't help the savage growl that escaped my lips. It was deep and it kind of scared me. I was a big dog so I guess a big growl was to be expected. I narrowed my amber eyes at this new comber. Ready to spring and bite her if she dared to even nip at my new friends.

[Blue]

A bright amber dog stepped out of the
bushes. Her head down, and a horrible
sneer on her face. She looked up at the
three of us. Bear lunged. 'Aw, the wittle
dog protecting his girlfriends? Aren't you
cuuute!' As she spoke, I winced and
shrank back further behind Bear and Riley.
Riley looked as if she wanted to take a
bite out of this dog, and I was sure she
wouldn't hesitate in doing so, but she
stood her ground. We all did. Waiting for
what was going to happen next. Suddenly,
she strode quickly forward, and I closed
my eyes. Black. Suddenly my whole world
was thrown when I received a horrible blow
to my head that sent me flying. The black
turned to red as I opened my eyes. I scrabbled
blindly in the leaves, trying to find cover.
I found none. I hoped this nightmare would
soon come to an end...

^{Tangling with the large female, I felt something bite down on my neck and I gagged. She drew back quickly, her ears foreward and her eyes large. I could see very clearly, everything was moving to fast though. Riley was preparing to lunge, and Blue... I couldn't tell what was happening over there.
I noticed that I was laying beneath the female, her white teeth bared. She had joked, played with me, but I had tooken it wrong. I didn't realize that at the time, so I nipped at her, jumping up. She grabbed my stomach, and I felt her throw me with almost to much ease for my liking. I landed a few yards away from them, sprawled out on my back. She turned her head, and let out an angry snarl, then turned sharply and sped towards me, with more intentions to kill.
I yelped, scrambling to my feet and then dodging her jaws, only to trip on my short legs. Again, I was trapped in her teeth, and she shook me. The many disadvantages of being small, I now noticed them with fear.}

Morag herd the commotion and ran to the dog's aid. She saw that a small dog, a corgi, she guessed was trapped in the jaws of the intruder dog. Morag lunged with teeth bared at the dog. she ran into the dog's side causing the dog to drop the corgi. Morag had the dog pinned to the ground. "Leave these dogs alone!" she barked. The dog just trembled. Morag said "Don't bother these dogs or me again!" "O-OK." stammered the dog. Morag nipped the dog's shoulder and head butted her in the ribs. "GET OUTTA HERE!" she barked she let the dog up and the dog ran back into the forest. "Is everyone alright?" asked Morag. She was particularly worried about the corgi.
