I walk in the Sand and sniff the air. Yup this is the place I thought as I remember

“Fire Get out Run” my woman screamed “But Mum what about Charlie Bear and Jingle Bells” my girl yelled back. I knew she would never leave me “Forget them they can die for all I care. Now let’s get out of here Lilly.” Lilly looked back at me I looked at her.My girl would never leave me would she “Yes mum” Lilly said and ran out of the house leaving me and Jingle behind. “No LILLY” I screamed she had to come back she had too. I waited for her till Jingle could no longer stand the smoke “Come on Jingles lets get out of here” I said starting to push him too the kitchen “No Bear I can’t I’m too old “Said Jingle Bells and he was right I mean he was 7yrs old “I’m not leavening with out you” I yelled back and Jingle being the beta type dog said yes and followed me into the kitchen where there was a doggie door. The house was starting to fall down so I pushed Jingle out the door just as I was about to go though the door a piece of wood ablaze fell on my nose I yelped as I ran out the door and onto the grass to stop my nose from catching fire. I looked at Jingle “Is it that bad?” I asked and he said yes it was that bad my nose was synched. Jingle Bells started to walk around to our family “Come on Char-Char lets go” he said and looked at me “No we’re not going back. They Left us Jingles TO DIE. We don’t need them” Jingles Laughed “Who is you kidding Charlie Bear? You and me were born pets and are meant to be pets” “I can take care of you Jingle Bell we can live in the city and we can live together. Come follow me” I said and starting walking to the city Jingles looked at me then follow, He would rather lose a family then a best friend.


I started to cry remembering what happened and started to walk to the shore where Me and my girl would play for hours.

[Aztec]

Aztec padded along the beach until early afternoon. the sand was warm against his paws and he couldn't help but sigh. Life wasn't perfect but, at times like these, he was somewhat happy to be alive. A burst of energy lept through his body and he took off. Running around like a small colt. He toppled over on the the soft sand where he could hear the water splashing up on to the shore. He breathed deeply to saver the moment. He could hear the birds in the distance and also another sound, a dog. He stretched his neck up to where he could see just over the near rocks. A small dog sat on the sand close to him. unaware that Aztec was closer than ever. He started to get up and shuffled towards the dog. It wasn't facing him. Its small face was focused on other things. Tears were streaming down their face.

For a moment, Aztec wanted to help him. To comfort him. There was hesitation though because that dog may look harmless but, He might also be a fierce dog too. He could get hurt so for the time being, he sat directly behind the hurt creature. Staring in the direction the other dog was. Trying to feel his pain. And for once, Aztec felt compassion for another creature other than himself.

[Char-Char]

I smelt another dog so I spun around my fur bristling.‘How dare another dog spy on me’ I thought but then I looked into the black dogs eyes and there was something about the dog, it was like the other dog wanted to help me. My fur lay flat on my back as I realized that the dog only just came. So I walked over to the dog sat in font of him. “Hi there I’m Charlie Bear what’s your name?” I Asked What am I doing, I hate male dogs they take my females away. But still this dog seems different some how. Maybe he could be a friend.’ ‘ I thought and tried to smile but it looked more like a snarl so I stopped. I remembered the first time I met my only friend Jingle Bells. I chuckled as I looked at the black dog. He must think I’m nuts talking to him with such confidence. He was a big dog and I was tiny, oh but I act much bigger then I am. ‘There is something about this dog, maybe he had a bad past like me, or maybe he is all alone but me and him click, like we could be great friends I think’ I thought. And maybe we would be.
