:: PERSONAL ::
Character Name:Serendipity
Gender: Female
Breed: Finnish Spitz
Age: Obvious : P
:: INFORMATION ::
Image: Bow wow ; )
Appearance: Serendipity has a squareish, yet elegant build. Her height, from the withers, is a mere eighteen inches, so she isn’t short, but neither is she tall. Her muscles are not overly-developed, but neither are they unpronounced. Her bone-structure is rather fragile for her breed. Her pelt is normal; a rich orange-red for, with a lighter colour for the undercoat. Her fur is thick and lustrous. Her nose, lips, and claws are all black. Her tail curls over her back in a very elegant fashion. Her eyes, however, are beautiful; a dark teal. However, they are very cold and hard, without emotion.
Personality: At least 125 words, but more is encouraged.
History: Serendipity was born to a mother named Kandy, and a father named Norse. But wait, don’t let that fool you. Why should it? Oh, did you think that dogs with the names Kandy and Norse would be nice, loving parents? Well, you’re wrong. Because Kandy and Norse were far from the happy ever after mother and father. In fact, Serendipity had been an accident; one spring day, they’d gotten a little carried away, and poof, Kandy was pregnant. They neglected Serendipity and, in Norse’s case, abused her. She would often have cuts and bite-marks all over her body. She healed slowly.
Relations: Does your dog have any family, puppies, or a mate? Are they alive, or deceased?

”damnit! I told you not to touch me, you bastard!”
”Settle down, little girl, and it’ll all be just fine…”
”Fine?! Ahahah! I’ll bite your hand off in a second!”
”Just calm down…”
The sounds of an enraged snarl ascended up the stairs, and then a yelp of pain. A young man, perhaps in his mid-twenties, was standing, or rather crouching, holding his right hand with his left. His shirt was black, rough-looking, as if it was made out of coarse material. His pants were dark gray, slightly baggy, and wool-like. Black gloves with the fingers cut off were on his hands. His hair was dark brown, messy. His eyes were an odd color – sapphire blue – and his cheeks and chin held evidence of someone who had not shaved for a few days. His skin was not pale, nor dark; simply a tan. He had a stocky figure, but a pointed chin. It looked odd on him; as if it did not belong.
His right hand was bleeding heavily, blood seeping between his fingers and dripping to the cold-looking, metallic floor. The room was small, metallic-looking. The walls were made out of steel, as were the ceilings and the floor. In the center of the room was a table – steel, too – with several leather straps; for arms, legs, and chest. All of them were in some way mangled or broken. In a corner, there was a small, barred cell, with the door ajar.
The man who had been wounded was staring in front of him, as if frightened.
And lo behold, there stood a wolf. The wolf was neither large nor small; medium-sized. Its pelt was pure black, with a slight reddish-tint to it. Its eyes were a deep, amber-brown, with a hint of golden honey within their depths. The wolf itself was slender, but skinny, with some of its bones – ribs – showing. Its ears were slightly large for the wolf, but this simply gave it a “cute” look.
Which the wolf would deny immediately.
And then, suddenly, it spoke. ”I told you I would bite your hand off.” Her voice was low, expressionless, with a hostile edge to it. ”Ya see, I would bite off your other limbs, but I’m feelin’ oddly forgiving to you. So, I suppose I won’t.” The wolf growled lowly in her throat, baring sharp white teeth, and taking a step closer to the now-cowering man. He gave a soft yelp, taking a painful step backwards. The she-wolf’s mouth closed slightly, in what could be called a grim smirk. A green aura surrounded her like a halo. The young man started glowing, too, and was suddenly lifted up into the air and placed somewhat carelessly on his back, on the table. ”Best make yerself comfortable ‘till the good doctors come.”
She started to change. The wolf’s form blurred slightly, limbs growing longer, tail vanishing, muzzle sinking back into her head. Her pelt, where it still was, became more red, and receded until it was only in one single area – on top of the girl’s head.
For the wolf had transformed into a girl. Her hair was fairly short, red, up to her shoulders. Her eyes were the same amber-brown, and her skin was pale, similar to porcelain. Fitting for her, in her somewhat gothic black shirt, and black-denim jacket – the left sleeve longer than the right. Her pants were black-denim as well, and a chain hung around her neck. On her right hand, there were three silver bracelets. They were nearly identical. The first one had the word “Seraphic” engraved on it; the middle one had “I will be with you always” engraved; and the last one had “Angel” carved on it. She had black combat boots on.
Bracelets jingling, the slender, tall girl quietly passed the wounded man, and slowly opened the bar door that led up the stairs and to freedom. Fools, she thought, Leavin’ the door unlocked like that. Slowly she began ascending the stairs, warily, hesitantly. No one ever knew what lurked above, especially since she had heard enough screams coming from this direction to be scared. However, she grew more confident as time passed, and she could see the metal door in front of her grow closer. The walls were steel, as were the stairs.
Everything in the laboratory was steel and metallic, of course. Nothing ever white. No color, except for the odd black-clad guard or scientists. Maybe hair. But then again, it was required by everyone, except for the “specimens” to dye their hair brown and cut it short as soon as they got the job. Everyone wore black, no excuses. But for the girl, at least, it was natural.
The girl ran a pale hand through her red hair. Carefully, she reached out, her hand touching the knob of the door, then closing around it. Then she turned, and pushed it open.
Light flitted into amber eyes, and she winced and turned away briefly, only to turn back toward the scenery again.
”Thought I’d never see this place ever again,” she whispered softly under her breath. Outside, to truly be outside – she hadn’t been out there since five years ago, when the scientists had first caught her. It was like a prison in there – no, worse than that.
She’d had to gain their trust slowly over the years. For the first year, they had sent no less than ten guards every time they wanted to perform experiments on her. The second, eight. The third, seven, then eventually six. The fourth year, it went down to five, then four. Fifth year – three, two. Then finally one.
That was the day she’d attacked and been able to get out.
But I’m not out yet.
The girl stepped out slowly, then turned around to look behind her. There was a huge, white building. There were five “outer houses”, not counting her own. All of them had large, metal doors. The sun bouncing off of the white paint hurt her eyes, and the girl quickly turned away.
The sky was light blue, crisp. Clouds drifted upon it lazily, some inadvertently covering the sun. Trees grew in great clumps, and dirt roads – old-fashioned! – spread out from the entrance to the lab, from the outer houses, and out into the real world. The red-haired girl took a deep breath, savoring the smell of freshly-cut grass and the world in general.
Ah, in general. That reminded her.
Quickly, as inconspicuously as possible, she set off down the track, and was soon was quite far away.

”Sir! There’s been a breakout!”
”…In which house, Malcolm?”
”Outer Number Four, sir!”
”nuts! Get a search fleet out, now! We can’t afford to let her out into the city!”
”Yessir!”
- - -
The city. The city.
The two words were repeated over and over in the girl’s head, and she sighed lowly. She hadn’t been here in over five years.
Ah, the emo song again.
Whatever, the red-haired girl thought, ignoring the odd looks she was getting from some people. No one walked around in pure black anymore. Such a pity.
The buildings that rose around her were huge. Some were made of all glass; some were brick. Others still were wooden. Many people walked about, wearing a variety of clothes – almost nothing black! – and talking amongst themselves.
The girl weaved a hand through her hair once more. ”This place is confusing.” Soon she was lost within the crowd – just another person, who just happened to be wearing black.
Then she heard it.
A loud, ear-piercing whistle.
The teenager knew that sound.
…They found me. How the hell did they find me?! The teenager could see several people, wearing black, becoming mixed within the crowd. Most of them tried to be in-line with each other, while others muddled around.
The teen panicked, her amber gaze flickering about. Perhaps she could push and shove her way out of there. And she set on just doing that, bracelets jingling softly as they collided with each other.
Minutes later she had evaded the crowd and the men dressed in black. Her boots hit the concrete ground as she ran blindly down the streets, trying to find a way out. House after house passed her in a blur of color.
Finally she paused, knowing she was getting no where. Abruptly she turned into dark alley in-between two houses. Her gaze flickered about. She was running out of choices if she wanted to get out of the lab and stay out. Maybe she could hide in a house for a day or two, unseen. Or something.
Swiftly she ducked her head, arms slightly outstretched, and leaped, crashing into a slightly larger window to her right. Shards flew around her as she landed softly with a dangle of chains on a hardwood floor. The teenager swallowed, her amber gaze flickering about the unfamiliar room.
