>Brielle<
Oh no, this couldn't be more unexpected And I can tell that I've been moving in so slow Don't let it throw you off too far Cause I'll be running right behind you Could this be out of line? To say you're the only one breaking me down like this You're the only one I would take a shot on Keep me hanging on so contagiously
Awe, how comforting. The lie murmured from my maw as I glanced around, eyes blanking staring as I let my tail flick in the cool breeze. I felt the simple snarl begin to bubble in my throat as unhappiness ran me over like a car on a freeway... violently. I guess, in that sorta weird twisted world... I was dead. If you wanted me to be specific, dead meat. Maybe even the walking dead. Whatever, I was done with over exaggerating. Ok, I already knew I was dead, more that I was probably suppose to be. Maybe I could reside along the beach... with a nice house. Psh, yeah right! I had to tell myself couldn't dream no longer. So, as I was saying, life sucks. I doubt it could ever suck anymore. Which made me happy, since life could never suck more then it was right now. Thank god.
As I stood there, I surveyed the humans, taking each one into my mind. Too tall, too short, too skinny, too... er... fat! No one was perfect. That made me feel better too. But then every so often you would see this beautiful, and lucky, person walking down the beach, and a growl escaped form my maw. I wished that woman with the long and wavy blond hair would trip. I wished she would fall on her head, right there. I wished that that pretty girl would choose me as her dog, I wished I could run along side her while all the males looked at me like her males looked at her. they looked at her like they wanted her. And I wanted that. The again, who didn't? I couldn't think of anyone. I guess everyone wanted whatever they couldn't have. Like a nice life full of luxury.

I loped along the amber cliffs, the bright midday sun beating harshly down on my spotted coat. As I looked out over the white sand and the bright, bright blue ocean, I sighed. What an amazing freedom this was. Being without leash or human. I looked down upon all those miserable tiny dogs and their masters dressed in bikinis and board shorts. Those dogs, I knew meant no more to their humans than a surf board. Maybe less. The cool breeze whipped my ears back as I ran, and I threw my head back, for the sheer joy of it. Suddenly the scent of the cool salty water and pineapple juice was gone, replaced by another scent.
It was a dog. Not one of those collar bound rats the humans carried, but a stray. I stopped in my tracks, and inhaled deeply. My eyes narrowed. If there was one thing I had learned, living on the streets, it was to trust no one but myself. I scanned the beach. Then, hidden in the shadow of an overlapping cliff, a dappled coat glinted, and then it was gone. Quickly stepping forward, my claws making a click, click sound on the rocky ground, I neared the side of the cliff I was standing on, and as silently as I could, jumped down onto the beach. Striding forward in the cliffs shadows, I drew nearer to the mysterious shadow I was sure I had seen...

A song blasted through my head at the very moment the woman walked by again. The stench of her perfume clogged up my nose as I turned away is disgust. I was amazed that her males didn't care about her stench. Closing my eyes and turning my head away from that horrid smell, I stalked away, eyes set on the small set of trees where I flicked my tail sick of the girl, along with my life. A cool breeze drifted by me, bring the fresh scent of the beach to my flared nose. It was just what I needed, fresh air.
Right at the moment I was getting used to the sweet smell, another scent came to my nose. The sound of the click clack of paw prints had my spinning around and lifting my harks, someone was here. And it was of my canine type. I finally spotted it, and then whisked my tail around my paws, then sitting down on my rump. A kind smile spread across my maw and I grinned an odd doggish grin, my lips pulled back into a taut smile while my salmon colored tongue emitted from my maw, lolling happily while I cleared my throat to let my utterly amazing lyrics emit from my maw.
"Heya! My names brielle, who are you?"
Tail flicked as it was tucked between my front paws. The stance I sat in showed only submission, I was the kind of dog that would let anyone do anything to me. And as long as it made them happy, I was okay with it.

This shadow, as I had suspected, was a dog. I collie type by the looks of it. When it moved, I braced myself, waiting for an attack, but instead of lunging for my head, this dog sat down, and smiled. Smiled! I barley heard her say "Heya! My names Brielle, who are you?", and when I finally came around, blinking, all I could manage was " I- Indigo" I stuttered. Smooth. "My name's Indigo" I managed more confidently. Narrowing my eyes in confusion, I raised one black eyebrow. What kind of stray is this dog? I wondered. I suddenly realized I had let my guard down. "Are you traveling alone? " I asked.

It looked as if the female, I sniffed the air, yes, it was a female, winced as I spoke. Almost expecting me to hurt her or something. Shocker. I mean, maybe I was kinda intimidating, my eyes and how thin I was was kinda scary, but it wasn't like I was that scary. or at least I don't think I was. I sigh drifted form my maw, then it was replaced with a comforting grin.
"I- Indigo. My name's Indigo. Are you traveling alone?" I sighed and then looked at my paws. The dog was scared of me.. I-I mean.. Indigo was scared of me. I stared at the dog, not wanted to meet eyes with her, yet not wanting to seem rude. So I looked down at my paws, knowing how awkward it was when you made eye contact with another dog that was almost shocking and hard to believe that my eyes weren't the beach next to us.
"Nice to meet'cha! yeah, I'm alone, I'm kinda new here, no idea where I am. How about you?"

The dappled dog looked at her paws. Very polite, I thought sarcastically. I stared straight into her downward pointed eyes. I never was one for manners. When she said she was alone, I let a faint smile cross my maw. "I'm alone too" I told her, secretly relieved. This dog may be new to the streets, but she certainly didn't look it. Her tough appearance continued to make me a little unnerved. " I have been here a couple of moons," I replied, but as I was saying the words, by vision blurred, and a flashback came into my mind. I was in Italy. There was a man standing beside me. That was Romas. I would recognize his scent anywhere. My former master was holding something in his hand. A piece of dark violet leather, embroidered with my name in Italian. The white thread stitched in elegant calligraphy stood out profoundly against the leather. " Cane" The four letters in Italian, meant "Bruised" the name he had given me when I was just a puppy, and I had but a few of my now numerous spots, and he had thought I was a white dog with bruises. The name stuck, and so my name was Cane. A very bright light brought me back from my daydreaming. I shook my head in confusion. I was lying on the ground, where I had been standing what felt like hours ago. I spat out sand, and let my still blurry eyes drink in my surroundings. Dammit. Another black out. These were not uncommon to me. Ever since I woke up in the middle of the Sydney harbor bridge that one fateful day, knowing nothing about who I was, where I came from, or anything about myself. Every now and again, I would get these random flashbacks, witch I assumed were before my mysterious appearance in Sydney. When I had a master. I always blacked out. Sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes for a few hours, it was always new. Exhausted and feeling a little sick, I laid my head back down.

You seem so out of context in this gaudy apartment complex A stranger with your door key explaining that I am just visiting And I am finally seeing Why I was the one worth leaving Why I was the one worth leaving I half wondered why the female in front of me kinda blanked. But then I heard her voice. And I let out a sigh of relief. It didn't take her long to speak, but I always get a bit edgy when I don't hear a voice. It doesn't make me mad, I just get scared. I don't know. I'm troubled, I guess thats how you could explain it. But, other then those few words she spoke, silence then fell. My jaw clenched. She then was silent, and no sound escaped her maw. Her eyes were slightly glazed and I simply tilted my head to the side.
"Uhm.. Indigo.. are you okay?"
I took a step closer to the female. But not close enough for her to get mad at me for invading her space. I didn't want to bother her. Did I do something wrong? I let a sigh escape my maw and then the look escaped her eyes. I then stared at the female once again. She looked normal... what had just happened? My eyes narrowed, slightly scanning the Dalmatian, checking if she was different in any soft of way.. what the hell was that? I wanted to scream, but you know, I hated being rude. And that.. that was rude. She laid her head down and then I let out a small whine, wondering if the dog was really okay..
"What.. just happened...?"
Seriously, I was scared to know the answer. I mean, here I was, with some dog I didn't know. Getting maybe too close, and then asking if she was okay after completely going blank. What was going on? And.. should I know? I cared enough not to ask. if that sentence made any sense at all.. probably not...

Damn my head hurt. I staggered to my feet, staring at the dog. "I'm sorry about that. That happens to me sometimes. " I told her. " I think I'm alright though".
Shaking my head, I began to regain my senses. "So how'd you end up on the streets alone?" I asked her.

So... uhm... does that mean she knows what it was about. Coz that kinda freaked me out... it was odd. But I shook it off. She said she was okay, thats all that mattered.. right? Uhm, right. I think. Ugh, what the hell was wrong with me? I couldn't control my mind right now, I think I was going crazy.. I needed a hobby.
"Okay then...."
My eyes drifted away as I simply looked at the beach, watching the swells circle around the rocks in the sand. A sigh escaped from my maw, I sure was happy I wasn't a rock. I would have drowned. At that moment, a chuckle escaped from my maw as I looked back at the female.
"Well, you know. I had a relatively normal life before. Humans, another dog to hand out with. But, it got odd, and different. So I left. I've been wandering around for a while now, I really have no interesting story about me to tell. What about you?"
